Research Needs on Potential Health Effects of Wireless Devices Identified

January 17, 2008 -- Although much research has been completed on potential health effects from radiofrequency energy emitted by wireless communication devices, a new report from the National Research Council identifies research that could further extend understanding of long-term low exposure to these devices. Based on a three-day workshop last August, the report does not evaluate health effects or recommend how research needs should be met.
