Summary: The Pacific Science Association (PSA), a regional associate of the International Council for Science (ICSU), is a nongovernmental scientific organization whose basic objectives are to provide a multidisciplinary forum for collaboration and communication among the scientific communities of the Pacific region. The U.S. National Committee for the Pacific Science Association (USNC/PSA) represents the National Academy of Sciences as the U.S. adhering body to the PSA, as well as the interests of the broader U.S. scientific community in PSA. The U.S. National Committee operates within the National Research Council's Board on International Scientific Organizations, a unit of the Policy and Global Affairs Division.
